Restylane contains non-animal derived hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural sugar found in skin that provides lubrication and aids in tissue repair. It is injected into the skin using a very small needle to create volume, restore structure, and smooth facial lines and wrinkles.

Your aesthetic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will administer Restylane with a fine needle into the target areas where deep lines and wrinkles develop. All Restylane fillers contain Lidocaine to ensure minimal discomfort during the treatment. Filler treatments last just minutes, with little to no downtime.

Mild bruising and swelling is common for the first 3-5 days after treatment. Lips tend to bruise and swell more, so they may take a little longer to heal. You can typically resume normal activities immediately after your treatment session.

You will see near immediate improvement after your Restylane injections — usually within four days. All filler treatments are FDA approved for up to 12 months, with some results that can last between 1-2 years.

Optimal filler results are typically achieved with a single treatment with results lasting 1-2 years. However, we recommend annual maintenance to “top off” the treatment — usually a smaller amount of product — to sustain optimal volume.
