When Is Viva Day Spa Reopening?

Update: May 22, 2020

We are slowly and very cautiously reopening Viva. The first step in our phased approach was to open our retail areas at all Viva locations for gift certificate and product purchases, with curbside pickup as an option. We have also soft reopened med spa services with a very limited menu of treatments. Spa + med spa services will resume on June 1, 2020 at 25% of our reservation capacity.

Now Available: Limited Menu of Med Spa Services

Under the guidance of our med spa director, appointments for Botox, Dysport, lip and cheek filler (Juvederm & Restylane) and complimentary med spa consults are now available with our licensed medical Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) team at Viva Lamar and Viva Domain.

Our May Med Spa Specials are up and running for these services: $500 Lip Filler Special, $100 Off Cheek & Dermal Filler, and $120 Off for First-Time Viva Botox Guests. Elevated Spa Safety Protocols

We have elevated our already hyper clean, safety first protocols with expert guidance from our medical director, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Texas Medical Board, Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR), International Spa Association (ISPA), City of Austin, and State of Texas.

In addition to feeling completely pampered, here’s what you can expect for your med spa visit to Viva:

Before Your Appointment

• Pre-payment + tipping is an option. Let us know if you’d prefer to pay in advance when we call to confirm your appointment.
• For the safety of all, please stay home if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have had known close contact with someone who has in the last 14 days of your appointment. Do the same if you are coughing, experiencing difficulty breathing, or have a fever of 100.4 degrees. We’ll happily re-schedule you for a future visit!

At The Spa

• Wear a mask over your nose and mouth in all common areas (we’ll have them on too). Masks are available for purchase if you happen to forget yours.
• Sanitize your hands at our touchless station when you enter the spa.
• Social distancing in our common spaces is encouraged and appreciated! We are staggering guests across our relaxation rooms to ensure safe, physical spacing.
• During your med spa treatments, our staff will wear a mask, face shield, and surgical gloves.
• We are sanitizing between every guest check-in/out at our front desk

Additional Safety Measures

• All Viva staff will be wearing masks at all times
• All staff receive a wellness check upon arrival (temperature + COVID-19 screening)
• All treatment rooms are deep-cleaned between every guest service. We’ve added 30 minutes between guest appointments to allow for adequate time.
• All surfaces throughout the spa are cleaned regularly, along with frequently touched elements like door handles, with a medical-grade cleaning solution.
• Advanced air purifiers with HEPA filters have been added to each treatment room to circulate the air and remove 99.97% of airborne particles.
• Electrostatic disinfectant and anti-microbial spray that kills viruses and forms a protective shield for 90 days is sprayed regularly in all areas
• UV sanitizing light wands are also swept across surfaces as an additional layer of disinfection
• Hand sanitizer is available throughout the spa for guest and staff use

Here’s where we are this week. We remains closed for all spa and med spa services. All three Viva Day Spa locations are open for gift certificates, product, and retail sales only.

While closed, we’ve been working hard on crafting stringent COVID-19 protocols and procedures to create as safe a space as possible for self-care for our guests and staff when we reopen for services. These elevated protocols are based on Viva’s existing hyper-clean and safety-first protocols, with additional measures as outlined by the  CDC, Texas Medical Board, Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR), City of Austin and State of Texas. We will share Viva Day Spa’s COVID-19 safety protocols as soon as we establish a date for reopening.

We are not opening for nail or med spa services, even though yesterday’s state orders give us the legal authority to do so this weekend. The health and well-being of our staff, guests and the Austin community remain our primary concern. One of the guiding principals at Viva is “always do the right thing.” That’s why we’ve made the heart-wrenching decision to temporarily close all Viva Day Spa locations effective today thru May 1 — or as soon as it is safe and socially responsible to re-open.

The well-being and livelihoods of our staff of caregivers, amazing & loyal guests, and our beloved Austin community matter above all else. We are feverishly working to support our team with health benefits, PTO, and assistance packages during this extended timeframe. For those of you who left a little extra tip for our team these past few weeks, thank for your kindness and generosity.
